Does anyone know what has happened to the postal service in Caleta ? We live on the Beach Villas and we haven’t received any post (internal and external) for over 3 months.

Have you got communal or individual post boxes?

@caletafuerteventura We have individual post boxes outside the property.

Where we lived the postboxes were grouped together in a communal area. Very often we found other people's letters in our post box, so I imagine some of our mail that never arrived was posted in the wrong box. We also worked out there was only one delivery a week, on Fridays.

we have a similar situation to what Stephen had, but in all honesty, we have lost very little mail in 9 years, and we get more than delivery a week, now if you want to talk about how long mail takes that is another subject.

An idea might be to send a letter to yourself! That would test the service.

@caletafuerteventura We definitely know that relatives sent us Christmas cards last year, but we have never received them . I’d like to know if ours is an isolated case or is this happening across the whole of Caleta ? It is very annoying that there might be some important post that we are not receiving.

I tracked a very small package 2/3 weeks back, it took 9 days to get to G/Canaria from the USA, then 11 days to get to Antigua P/Office and another 8 to be delivered to me, you can not call it a service.

We received postcards, letters even a parcel from Belgium. It took between 7 to 11 days.  We had a notice in our letterbox for the parcel as we were not at home.
