Endesa 8my electric company) sent me an online bill today and also debited my bank account.

It's unusual as it only covers the first week in June.

It makes interesting reading as it shows a pie chart for useage on the new tariffs.

I used 41 kwh - 27% at the high rate (2.33€), 24% at the medium rate (1.17€) and 49% at the cheap rate (1.56€).

You are mistaken.  the amounts for electricity used are 2.33€, 1.17€ and 1.56€. That's a total of 5.06€.  With adds on for taxes and potencia, the total bill was 9.91€.

It works out at 1.65€ a day. That's a few cents less than my previous daily average.

to be honest I would be more than happy with that.since changing suppliers (which looked like a good deal, and quoting usage per year, as per supplied on yearly statement) compulsory smart meter installed every week gone over budget, even though increased dd. So although seems a lot not compared to UK prices.

@caletafuerteventura ok, 2.33€ is a total amount not the price per kw.
