@villan, I can't recall the sports lounge, but know trafalgar, it was just round the corner where we stopped. Really surprised it's closing as it seemed a popular restaurant, bar and large enough to survive. So sad, how many more.? ? If we manage to come out again in Feb, hope to see some of the restaurant & bars still open which we liked, (even those that weren't our favourites) it will be a sad reminder that people have lost they're livelihoods,

@amlod I agree if you was to ask me which bar would survive I would have put my mortgage on The Trafalgar. We have just returned home after a week and was pleasantly surprised at how Caleta was getting busier by the day. Many bars, restaurants, hotels and cafe's have survived and those that have opened appear to be doing good business. It is a resilient place so I'm confident that when you go in February you will be pleasantly surprised and will have a good time. Keep the faith Amlod  ?

@alex I was hoping next year 2021, there are so many little bars we like but coming for a month we cater and eat in a lot. Are you telling me that the supermarkets don't have a lot. We do a weekly shop at spar, (using a carry on case as a shopping trolley, walking to the atlantico & back) and for bits & bobs hipo Dino round the corner.  Oh dear your post doesn't sound good.

The supermarkets are fully stocked. In fact with the opening of the Lidl and refurbishment of Mercadona you have more choice than ever. You need to wear a mask and apply hand santitizer but other than that it is still a pleasant experience. As I said we have been going 5 times a year for the past 10 years and this latest visit was enjoyable. We used it as an opportunity to visit bars and restaurants that would not othetwise be on our radar and discovered some gems. Yes there are/will be business casualties but it has the advantage of being an all year destination so it has more advantages than most.

Thank you villian & Alex for info it is reassuring, Alex after I had posted thought oh he's on a wind up, so good to be reassured. If you see a 5'  senior ? person  (I don't think old) and a slightly overweight (have to say slightly or he gets upset) ?couple walking along the beach walk dragging a cabin sized suitcase, that will be us either going to the atlantico or on the way back. Still got our fingers ? coming in Feb 2021.& visiting the restaurants & bars, hopefully open, and the white centre opens soon. Our last holiday this year was in fuerteventura & even had 3 days of Lockdown there, so it would be so good to be back.

So sad ? these bars were a favourite of ours. Always busy and great atmosphere.
