What To Do In The Evening in Caleta de Fuste

Generally, people have their evening meal between 7pm and 8.30pm before going out.  Most hotel restaurants serve their meals between 6 – 10pm, while restaurants in the town will be open throughout the day.  It’s then time to go for a stroll, go to a bar, see a hotel show or go to somewhere that has a show, karaoke, entertainer or quiz night.  Alternatively you can sit on your patio or balcony and enjoy the warm evening air.

Restaurants

Restaurant meal prices are around 7.50 – 10.00 euros for a main course, and 3.50 – 5.00 euros for a children’s meal.

There are special offers at most restaurants, so there could be 10-15% off the total bill or 3 course meals for between 7.95 – 8.50 euros.

Full English breakfasts cost between 2.95 and 6.00 euros.

Drinks can vary in price, depending on the establishment; but will be from 1.50 euros for a coke, from 2.50 euros for a large beer, and from 2.50 euros for a spirit and mixer.  Look out for the Happy Hours for cheap drinks or 2 for 1 offers.

Cinema

On Tuesday evenings a selection of films are shown in English at the Yelmo Cinema, which is at the Atlantico Center in Caleta de Fuste.  Details of the weekly films can be found in the Forum of this site. Prices are 6.50 euros for adults and 5.70 euros for children.

Hotel Shows

As most hotels and apartments have a bar, there will be some type of evening entertainment programme.  Entertainment usually starts around 8.30pm with Mini Discos for the children; with the main entertainment on from 9.30pm until 10.30 – 11pm.

Hotel entertainment usually operates on a fortnightly cycle, so that if you are staying for 14 nights, you don’t see the same show twice.  Professional acts will be on for 3 or 4 nights a week, with entertainment organised by the Animation Team on the other nights.

In our personal experience it is fine to go to other hotels and watch their entertainment.  I would recommend going to the Barcelo Fuerteventura Hotel and the Barcelo Club, near the harbour.  They have musical tribute acts, such as The Beatles, Abba, Bee Gees; flamenco; acrobatic shows; magicians etc.; and their own animation teams do versions of musicals such as The Lion King, Cats, Les Miserables, Grease etc, and other tribute type shows.

Bars

Bars in the town have professional shows on most nights of the week, and these are advertised on boards outside.  They might also have an early evening happy hour. Many will show live UK sports and TV programmes on one or more screens.

An Evening Walk

Almost every night of the year is ideal for a walk around the resort, and go to the beach or along to the Atlantico Center.  Children will enjoy the playgrounds that can be found around the resort.
