The President of the Cabildo (Island Council) has asked the Canarian Government to make the FV-2 road between Las Salinas and the airport into a dual carriageway. 24,000 vehicles use the road which links the south of the island with the airport, plus traffic generated by Caleta de Fuste.
He knows that there is a a plan to bypass Caleta de Fuste, but says that increasing the width of the road will be justified by the amount of traffic that will use it.
