Hi,

Just heads up , parked in Atlantic car park , and while gone someone got into the car and stole phone.(left there by accident )

Not an expensive phone but info/photos etc on it that were important.  Hubby's phone and stupidly he didn't have it password protected !

Did track it to corralejo around the harbour area but couldn't identify where.

I did send a message requesting return and while they didn't acknowledge the cheeky thief actually video called just before battery on stolen phone died but blacked out the screen !

It has spoiled our holiday .

Hope it's a one off in the area but just be on your guard people .

It's not a nice thing to happen. Was the car parked under the Atlantico or outside?

seems to be in the underground car park.  We can be sorry as much as as we can be but once some valuable stuff is visble, ....there's no miracle.  A friend of us had her purse stolen (with bank cards, wallet, cash etc...).  And the car plate was Spanish. So....

Phone wasn't visible , in fact we'll out of sight , just so annoying .

Never had a problem in all our years of coming here .

Nasty people who choose not to 'work' for a living and just steal from hard working people , who struggle and work all year just to afford a break away.

Don't how much they get financially from stealing an old basic phone but can guarantee it's caused huge problems for us

So annoyed

@cdm1 sorry to hear about your troubles, it’s not a nice thing to happen and the loss of something we become so dependent on. I hope you can have everything blocked or deleted on it.

Did they break into your car ? I suppose your lucky they didn’t take the car as well.

Don't know how they managed to get in as definitely locked the hire car

Unfortunately , we didn't realise until a good few hours had passed , and stupidly hubby didn't have it password protected !! So they had a good few hours of access . Blocked as soon as we could but battery dead quite soon after realising it was stolen and not just lost., luckily no banking apps etc as hubby mainly uses for calls and photos. But he did have some Identification info on it , just hoping nothing worse happens.

@cdm1 You're right, a phone remains a phone but the data are irreplaceable 😥 and often hard to find again.

Too true, to be honest ruined holiday and can't wait to go home as not sleeping since it happened .

I know it can happen anywhere but it just reminds me what horrible people there are in the world , when they think it's acceptable to steal and cause so much upset deliberately to other people just so they don't have to work
