Does anyone know the procedure for flying back to England
You have to fill in a form, not more than 48 hours before you fly, with contact details, where you are going etc.
Ryanair sent us the contact link for the form, and we completed it so it was available to be seen on the phone when we went through security at East Midlands airport.
@derbyboy If you experience technical issues and cannot complete the form on line then there are paper forms you can complete upon entering the airport terminal building however this delays your journey through the airport. It's a shame they are not available at the departure airport so you can complete it whilst waiting or en route on the aircraft to prevent delays. Still, I'm sure they know what they are doing .
@derbyboy hi you can find info on the gov. UK website with a link to complete the form 48 hours before you arrive
Not travelled back to East Midlands since March (a couple of days before lockdown) it was typical East mids, long queue for passport control, maybe with fewer flts you will sail through. Wish you luck
@derbyboy Some other interesting links about

@amlod thank you for your help we think we're sorted coming to Caleta just got to get QR codes . Just wondering if anything different coming back I know how awkward they can be at Fuertura airport
@alex Thank you Alex we've gradually got everything sorted ,we've been told now they won't accept anything on paper has to be in phone ,don't know if that's true . We've been offered cancellation four times but we're determined to get there But if a ballache but no pain no gain
@derbyboy IMHO, a "few" people don't have a smart/iOS phone. Yes it exists but it can't be a reason for them to stay locked at home. Use your (charged 😉 ) mobile phone with all the docs & QR codes and you'll be administratively safe ! We all must have in mind that it must be done within the 48 hours before arrivals/departures.
And.... 😎🥳🌞⛱️ for your party !
Hi
Travelled home yesterday with Ryanair. Flight was excellent!
However, somethings weren't great.
No testing at airport prior to boarding. I thought they may have taken our temperature!
Arriving at Birmingham airport wasn't any better. We spent a lot of time filling in the form for returning to UK, only for us to queue for someone to check it. They didn't scan the code just looked at form and then asked what flight we had arrived on. Complete joke!
Let's hope that they sort themselves out with some testing in airports soon!
@haggers0 thanks for your feedback could you tell us how was your journey from B. to FV please, in terms of health controls?
Hi
On the outward journey from Birmingham we had our temperature taken on entry to the airport. They have set up a camera system that you have to walk through as other entry points have been closed.
We also had a temperature check on arrival in Fuerteventura as well.
Hope this helps
@haggers0 sounds about as good as our test & trace system & monitoring if people are self isolating on return. It really annoys me when at start of pandemic & we were in complete lockdown but yet no control whatsoever in people entering the country with high infection rates. Now we are subjected to fco advice & bans on whole countries, regardless if they are islands miles from the mainland.
Jet2 have now cancelled our February return Flight.
We’ve had flights cancelled for Jan , not flying on a Sunday . Will just change them to Saturday .
The concern is that they are reducing the number of flights to Fuerte. when in theory they should be increasing.
I gave Jet2 a bell yesterday to dicuss options and asked the reasons for flights being continually removed from their schedule. Interestingly amongst the standard guff about "unprescedented times" and "right to reschedule" the customer service operator said the expected big increase in Winter bookings to the Canary Islands had not materialised and further reviews are to be expected.
