Ctm is back soon ๐ :ย TUI Ireland resumes operations with Fuerteventura from 3 July. For her part, the Councillor for Tourism of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Jessica de Leรณn, values Tui's announcement as 'excellent news, as it increases the island's connectivity with a country that can offer a great contribution of tourists, especially now that the restrictions for British travellers are still in place'.
The United Kingdom maintains the Canary Islands at amber level, meaning that all British travellers visiting the island must return to their country with a negative PCR test, as well as undergo a compulsory 10-day quarantine once they arrive at their usual residence. This impediment, which considerably limits the arrival of tourists from Great Britain to Fuerteventura, is not required for those travelling from Ireland, "so we hope," concludes de Leรณn, "that this market will return to our island in force.

Hi,
I am new on here but I have visitedย Caleta de fuste many times but not since covid.i am thinking of booking last minute flights for Saturday but not sure if I need to have a covid test before i travel or if my NHS double vaccination letter is suffice..Could anyone let me know what I need to do prior to leaving the UK and once in Caleta to return home. Many thanks for your time.
Hello Pete. You don't need to have a test to enter Spain if you are vaccinated. You will have to fill in a locator form.
For the return to the UK you will need to take an Antigen test 72 hours before your flight home and book a Day 2 test for when you get back home.
Thank you Stephen that is a great help.
It's as clear as mud over here trying to navigate the government web sites and its putting plenty of people off trying to holiday abroad.
Is it easy to book a Antigen test and get the results once we arrive as we will only be in Caleta for a week.
Again many thanks for you help as I am sure once I have navigated through my first trip back to Caleta and got my head around the new requirements I will be happy to make my several trips a year as I did before covid.
Cheers again Pete.
The Antigen test results are available within the hour. You could walk in at the Cenmed Klinik for a test and this is next to the chemist up the road from Fado Rock. Alternatively you can book a time slot on the Eurofins website as they do testing at the airport.Their testing is done in the Departures area. I had mine done there last week before I flew to The UK for my holiday last week.It costs just under 30 euros.
Anyone tried the tests you take with you? Jet2 has testing partners that promote them.
