Today didn't go to plan! The engine wouldn't start and I couldn't identify the problem. We called River and Canal Rescue and the engineer was concerned about it (just as previous engineers I have met and spoken to). We were already making our way to have a new engine fitted next week, but as we are in a convenient place the engine will be changed where we are in Atherstone.

It is going to be expensive but it will add value to the boat as the current engine has got such a bad reputation and parts are hard to obtain.

Had a lay in and recovery from all my gardening until 11:00 then out in the garden, strimming and cleaning up an area I let grow wild, no I want to clear it and sow wild flowers for the butterflies and bees. I’m also going to get an insect house for it as well. I have some nesting boxes high up in the trees.
Then the rain happened and boy did it come down it was like a winters day, temperature dropped so I spent some time in the tunnel weeding and feeding and dug a few spuds. Pulled some carrots that were going to seed.
