We had lunch there yesterday, from the outside it is impressive and the inside is well-decorated and furnished, and the staff are very friendly, I had Ravioli with Porcini mushrooms and Parmesan, and management had meat Lasagne, both of which were excellent, the downside was the portions, I had an Italian mother and was brought up on Italian cooking and it is my go-to food very often, and I have eaten Italian food all over The World, and I have never seen Lasagne served with fried potatoes, and basically the plate contained a large spoonful of Lasagne and half a plate of fried potatoes, my Ravioli was about 6/7 pieces of ravioli and sauce, I don,t have a great appetite but I must admit it was insufficient, and for my wife to comment on the size of the portions is very unusual as she barely eats enough to feed a sparrow, the other thing I found off-putting was the prices on the menu to not include tax, it states on the bottom of the menu that this is the case, nonetheless IMHO the menu should include the total cost, the two meals plus two bottles of water a glass of wine and one portion of Tirimasu { which was average } came to €42 €44.94 after tax, it is safe to say we will not be rushing back.
Thanks John, looks like I’ll steer clear in June.

It seems that the portions are based on cost reduction 😀 .
@alex I am aware of how to price a menu, and I took costs into account but still failed to justify the cost to quantity, furthermore, I was discussing this with a friend of mine who is a Chef in an establishment in Caleta, and I will not repeat his comments or Stephen would ban me 🤨 but he went there and ordered goats cheese as a starter, and he swears it was Gouda
@johnrgby I imagine your friend knows what he is talking about. And your experience is also significant. So good reasons to stay away from this place. Thanks for the report. 👍
