Hopscotch has changed management, my understanding was both The Smokehouse and Hopscotch were run by the same people, so one sold and one closed.
I believe that Jeff who used to run 15 has taken Hopscotchon, will be interesting to try it.

I can now confirm this as being correct, I messaged him and this is a part of his reply "yes mate. Give us a couple of weeks, there are a few things that I’m in the process of changing and areas that I’m looking to improve"I believe that Jeff who used to run 15 has taken Hopscotchon, will be interesting to try it.
Very interesting indeed
I got a similar reply from Jeff also when I messaged him last night.

We went there last night, and without elaborating I was not in any way impressed, and will never ever repeat the experience.
We go there Sunday night, look forward to reporting back.

I’m afraid Johnny Rugby is right, we won’t be back, lovely starters, mains 3 scampi and 1 fillet steak, all good but the dauphinois potatoes with the steak had to go back, got them replaced with chips. Desert took for ever with the 2 espressos served well before the desert, and then desert was very average bread and butter pudding microwaved heated with custard and a cheese cake desert. €147 sorry not worth the money for 4 with only 3 starters and 3 deserts. Sorry but service was not great,

Our take on the place, It is not the most inviting of places when you walk in plain white chairs and tables, etc, but we were not there for the decor, the menus when we got them were a tad dog-eared, and mine was covered in tea/8coffee stains, and where items had been removed from the menu, it was done with sticky tape, not very appealing, to be honest, I would have walked out then, but management would not allow it, so we ordered, bread and Alolifor two what I think was called Asian Belly Pork, which was very well presented but the pork itself was tough, and the crackling which accompanied it was inedible, as it was like concrete. it was so memorable, I cannot remember what I ordered, suffice to say I remember saying "Well the sauce was good" We must have had a couple of glasses of wine and water and maybe a coffee, but it came to 50/60 euros, it was not worth 30, the reason we went there was it was my stepsons birthday the following week, and with Ascension inaccessible at the time, we had booked to go there, as in all honesty we do not rate anywhere in Caletta very highly, other than some of the Indian restaurants and Min7, so we had booked there, we obviously canceled, and as a last resort went to Milo Sun, which we had not been to since we went a couple of times just after it opened, and while it IMHO was not fantastic, it was very good, and everyone enjoyed it, and we will return
