The Christmas period in Caleta de Fuste is a busy time. It is very different here though, as the weather is usually very warm and it doesn’t feel like Christmas does in the UK and the rest of Europe.
The Spanish resident’s main celebration is on Christmas Eve, when there are family meals. If you are staying in a hotel there will probably be a Gala Dinner on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day is, generally, like any other day on Fuerteventura – sunny and warm, and most restaurants and bars are open as normal.
Christmas lights and decorations are put up around the resort.
British owned restaurants usually serve a traditional British Christmas dinner which you can book when you arrive in resort.
Christmas craft markets are held every Friday in December from 4pm – 10pm, with music, groups food tasting, workshops etc.
